My brief biography

Christine received her Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Gulu University and Master’s Degree in Information Technology from Makerere University. She is a lecturer in the Faculty of Computer Science at Gulu University. She is a Committee Member of Gulu University Journal, as well as one of the founder members of Descant Technology, a research group based in Gulu, whose major aim is to mentor youth, particularly the girls to conduct research and come up with ICT- based innovative solutions that address challenges in the communities. She is currently enrolled for a PhD in Information Systems at Makerere University and undertaking research on “How to apply Collaboration Engineering principles to the User/Human Centred Design approach; with an aim to better enrich the “what” aspect (task statement) with the “how” aspect (task deliverable) of the U/HCD user stories collection, analysis and design phases, in order to reinforce users’ involvement in these phases, for the design of more effective and efficient Electronic Health Information Systems that satisfy user needs. Her research interests include: User Centered Design/Design Thinking, Collaboration Engineering particularly to support the design of efficient and effective Electronic Health Information Systems, Multimedia technologies (3D design, interactive technologies/animation, graphic and media design, digital photography), Natural Language Processing and application of Artificial Intelligence in Health.
