My brief biography

Francis holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Statistics from Makerere University particularly specializing in Statistical Computing.  Francis is currently an Assistant Lecturer of Statistical computing at School of Statistics and Planning, Makerere University.  Francis is also an Information Systems PhD Candidate at Makerere University’s School of Computing and Informatics Technology where he is undertaking research on “Reliability of predictions for Big Data using Hybrid Models: The case of malaria incidence rate thresholds in Uganda” with an aim of improving the prediction of malaria incidence rates, leading to early and reliable detection of malaria occurrences and thus dipping the transmission risk in the community. His research interests include: data mining, big data, statistical computing algorithms and application of machine learning in Health.
